Schultz, co-owner and co-founder of HSI Properties brings more than 10 years of real estate development knowledge and experience to HSI’s clients. His client-based focus utilizes the significant industry relationships he has built throughout his career.
Prior to starting HSI in 2007, Schultz served as the director of development at Fiduciary Real Estate Development Inc. in Milwaukee. At Fiduciary, Schultz oversaw the company’s residential development business, including managing the residential development team, managing several mixed-use residential development projects, leading the company’s business development efforts and analyzing and evaluating existing and potential real estate transactions.
Previously, Schultz served as vice president of development for MLG Development in Brookfield, Wis. As a department leader, his efforts nearly doubled the company’s portfolio of completed and in-progress projects from the company’s inception 10 years prior. As the vice president of development, Schultz managed all aspects of numerous residential development projects, including site selection, project feasibility analysis, entitlement procurement, financing origination, construction management and marketing implementation. During his time at MLG, Schultz managed the development of nearly 650 acres throughout southeastern Wisconsin, yielding more than 400 build-able home sites.
Schultz earned Bachelor of Business Administration degrees in both real estate & urban land development and marketing from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee in 1999. He is an annual real estate guest lecturer at his alma mater’s Sheldon B. Lubar School of Business. He holds a Wisconsin real estate license and is active in the Metropolitan Builders Association, the Commercial Association of Realtors - Wisconsin, NAIOP, the National Association of Home Builders, Wisconsin Realtors Association, and the Urban Land Institute.
Schultz serves on the Board of Directors for the Commercial Association of Realtors - Wisconsin (CARW) as well as the Emerging Leaders Council for the United Way of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
